Panasonic Current Protection Control Function

15th November 2010

One feature you may not know about is the Current Protection Control available on the Panasonic Packaged range. All units from the 7.1kW (CS/CU-F28DD1E5) through to the 14kW (CS/CU-F50DD1E5) in the Ducted, Cassette and Under Ceiling types have this function on the Diagnostic PCB.

As an example of how it works, the maximum current for the 10kW (CS/CU-F34DB4E5) is 17amps on cooling and 23amps on heating. If the current exceeds the maximum limit, then the maximum current protection control will be activated..

When the power save mode is on, the maximum current for heating will drop to 17amps, hence the current protection control will kick in at 17amps.

Just another handy hint from the Industrial Air Team.
